Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Paid to have trousers tailored by Tuesday PM. I had to go in three times on Wednesday morning in order to collect them, initially being told they couldn't find them then come back on Wednesday afternoon. Turns out they took them to Mitcham to have the alteration done, some man then tried to shout at me & argue with me on the phone upon collection that because I was on the phone when I dropped them off they weren't ready on time. The only thing worse than failing to deliver on a service a customer pays for is to be rude, aggressive & tell ridiculous lies. I wouldn't return there or recommend it to anyone that wants things done on a reasonable or agreed timeline.

How Our Home Furnishing Service in Clapham Works

Step 1 — Fabric Assessment
Every item is assessed before cleaning begins. Our technicians identify the fabric composition, existing stains, and any areas of delicacy — choosing the correct method and products before any treatment is applied.

Step 2 — Pre-Treatment of Stains
Stains from food, drink, pet accidents, or general use are pre-treated with specialist solutions matched to the fabric type. This maximises stain removal without risk to colour or texture.

Step 3 — Deep Cleaning
Items are cleaned using eco-friendly, low-moisture, or hot water extraction methods — dependent on fabric requirements. All products used are biodegradable and safe for children and pets.

Step 4 — Drying & Finishing
Cleaned items are dried using controlled methods to prevent shrinkage, warping, or mould. Curtains are pressed and re-pleated; rugs are pile-groomed; upholstery is inspected for uniform finish.

Step 5 — Rehang, Replace & Return
For curtains and blinds, our team rehang everything in your home. All other items are returned cleaned, finished, and ready for use.

Why Choose Elegance Dry Cleaners for Home Furnishing in Clapham

FAQs - Home Furnishing Service in Clapham

What is a Home Furnishing Service in Clapham?

A Home Furnishing Service in Clapham is a professional textile and soft furnishing cleaning service for homeowners. It covers sofas, curtains, rugs, carpets, cushions, blinds, and mattresses — using specialist equipment and fabric-safe products to restore appearance and hygiene. Elegance Dry Cleaners provides this service across Clapham and South London.

What items does a home furnishing service clean?

A professional home furnishing service cleans upholstered sofas and chairs, curtains and drapes, wool and silk rugs, carpets, mattresses, fabric blinds, cushions, throws, and bedding. Each item is assessed individually and cleaned using the appropriate method for its fabric type.

Is professional home furnishing cleaning safe for delicate fabrics?

Yes. Professional cleaners assess each item’s fabric composition before treatment. Silk, wool, velvet, and other delicate materials require specific low-moisture or hand-cleaning methods — which is why professional assessment is essential before any cleaning begins.

How often should home furnishings be professionally cleaned?

Most home furnishings benefit from professional cleaning every 6 to 12 months. Homes with pets, young children, or allergy sufferers may require more frequent treatment — particularly for sofas, carpets, and mattresses.

How much does a Home Furnishing Service cost in Clapham?

Pricing depends on the item type, fabric, size, and level of soiling. Elegance Dry Cleaners provides transparent, no-obligation quotes for all home furnishing cleaning. Contact us on 020 7738 2266 or use our online quote form for a specific estimate.

Do you offer curtain removal and rehang as part of the service?

Yes. Elegance Dry Cleaners removes, cleans, presses, and rehangs curtains and drapes as part of our home furnishing service. You do not need to remove or refit them yourself.

Can home furnishing cleaning remove stains and pet odours?

Yes. Commercial-grade pre-treatment solutions and extraction equipment remove most stains — including food, drink, grease, and pet-related marks — along with odours and allergens embedded in fabric fibres.
